PSALM 16:1-2, 5-6
Keep me safe, O God, for in you I take refuge. I said to the Lord, “You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing…” Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup; you have made my lot secure. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; surely I have a delightful inheritance.
Dear Lord,
It is true – apart from You I have no good thing. If I were the richest or the poorest, the most fair or the most foul, at peace or in turmoil, I have nothing if I do not have You dwelling within. I grumble because of my lot in life; however You are my portion and I am spiritually safe because of Your salvation, therefore I should always rejoice because of the eternal inheritance I have through Jesus Christ. Surely my cup runneth over with Your love and blessings.
