PSALM 143:7-12
Answer me quickly O Lord; my spirit fails. Do not hide your face from me or I will be like those who go down to the pit. Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go, for to you I lift up my soul. Rescue me from my enemies, O Lord, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good spirit lead me on level ground. For your name’s sake, O Lord, preserve my life; in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble. In your unfailing love, silence my enemies; destroy all my foes, for I am your servant.
Dear Lord,
I need to feel Your presence now, every day, every minute, every second. My spirit fails within me, my soul despairs in darkness as I lift it to You for healing. Renew my soul I pray, just as there is a glorious morning after a torturous storm raged during the night. I fear my troubled soul can endure no more; but I trust in Your unfailing love to show me the way through the blackness to Your glorious light. No longer will the darkness keep me hidden from Your sight; rather I hide myself in You. You place me on level ground, giving me respite from the trials of life. It is my heart’s desire to be Your humble servant, continually learning and following in Your way.
